My Easter Blessings

Happy Easter, everyone.  I am feeling quite blessed this morning as I sit with my boy who is patiently waiting for his sisters to wake up to begin finding the Eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny.  I don't blog as often as I used to, but I figured I'd take this moment of quiet in my house to jump on here and recount the things that I am grateful for.

1. First and foremost, I feel so blessed to have these 3 amazing little people to share my life with.  Good days and bad, these kids are my whole world.  Here are a few pictures from our recent trip to Myrtle Beach:

2. Ron and I are lucky to have tons of loving, supportive, and caring family members both near and far.  Not a day goes by that we don't miss the people that live far away from us, but thanks to modern day technology and things like airplanes and long car rides, we manage to stay close and they make us feel extremely loved.  In fact, in just a few short days Ron's parents will arrive for their Spring Visit.  We haven't seen them since Christmas, and we can't wait for them to be here!

3. We had the girls' birthday party this past Friday, and it was a reminder of yet another blessing that we have.  I feel truly lucky to have made some great family friends here in NC.  It was a great, low-key party and the kids had a blast playing with their friends while I had a blast laughing and visiting with mine.

4. This one goes without saying, but given the recent events in the life of one of Ron's uncles I have to say it.  We are grateful for each and every day that we have on this Earth.  In the last couple of weeks I've come to realize that every day is truly a gift.  Your life can change in an instant, and I will not take the moments we have for granted.  I've also learned that challenges are not to be viewed as burdens.  Attitude is everything, and without a positive attitude, positive results are impossible.  Ron's uncle recently suffered a massive stroke, and is now on the long road to recovery.  He has made remarkable strides in a very short amount of time, a living example of the power of prayer.  His strength and determination is an inspiration to me, as is that of his remarkable wife and family that has banded together to support one another.

Well, that's all my blessings for now.  Girls are making their way downstairs, so let the Easter Egg hunting begin!  Happy Easter to all!
