Oh What a Night!

Last night was an especially looooooooong night at this fun house. At one point in time, EVERYONE was awake, and all 3 kids were crying. Olivia wouldn't settle in to go to sleep despite my best swaddling, rocking, and back patting efforts. Poor little Katelyn is sick with her first cold (at only 2 and a half weeks!), so she's all stuffy, has a bad cough, and having trouble eating and sleeping, and who knows what was keeping Joey awake but he was a restless sleeper last night too. Maybe he just thought he should join in since his sisters were awake partying all night. So right now I should definately be napping while the kids are, but I'm on the computer blogging instead. Oh, and researching Swine Flu.

By the way, it must be your lucky day blog-readers... I'm posting twice today.

More food please...

Olivia may be the littlest one in the house, but the girl loves to eat. She would nurse all day long if I let her. Bottle, breast, she doesn't care as long as there is food coming from it! Along with all the eating, comes lots of diaper changes for Miss Olivia. In fact, she has coined the name "queen pooper." Here is a pic of my little piglet:

Who Needs Weight Watchers???

Apparently the way to lose 44 lbs in 13 days is to give birth to twins and then nurse them exclusively. Imagine my surprise when I weighed myself yesterday and found that I've lost all but 1 lb of baby weight!!! I'm psyched. I'm even in my regular jeans! What a relief... Yippee!

I'll update about the girls later, just had to share my excitement!

The Waiting Game

I can't believe I am still pregnant. I thought for sure these babies would be here by now. The waiting is driving me nuts! I have a c-section scheduled for Thursday, which seems sooooo far away. I don't have anything else interesting to blog about because the waiting is consuming me. In the meantime, here is a cute pic of my Joey:

The Big Brother

Since my belly started growing we of course told Joey that was where the babies were, and he would point and occasionally kiss the belly when prompted, etc. But I never really feel like he cared or paid much attention to my growing midsection. Until today. This morning we were playing on the floor and he kept bringing me books to read him. I guess he started to notice that my lap had run out of room for him to sit comfortably on while I read to him, so he started to point to my belly and say baby. Then he did the cutest thing... he took his binkie and tried to give it to the babies. Then he went and found his blankie, laid it across my belly and gave the belly a big hug. It was so cute, totally innocent, and completely unprompted by me. Hopefully he'll be this lovey and sweet when the babies come! (yes, I know that is a crazy thought and totally unrealistic, but a girl can dream...)
